I don't hate the AA system. Far from it. Early on in its development though, designers having no idea that EQ would still be here 11 years later gave out of A LOT of the available design space. It's not their fault, it just is what it is. It makes my job significantly more challenging to come up with new things for you that are meaningful and not just fluff.
Ideally at some point I'd like to come up with a new system. I have no idea what that system is though, and that isn't really what I want to talk about now anyway. It's just something in the back of my mind right now.
