the first question is about your site and your maps.

every time i download a .zip file of the maps here (saving to disk) and try to extract them it tells me there are no files to extract. im just using whatever extraction tool that comes with win xp.

the other is a game question.

i have 2 folders in my EQ folder for maps. one is called 'allmaps' and one is just called 'maps'. which one (if any) do i need to delete?

seems like you downladed allmaps from this site into your eq folder direct. I had trouble with that and set up a new folder to download the zip file to. The when you extract the maps, win xp asks where you want them extracted to. Put your eq folder in then extract, that worked for me. Plus, you have backup copies of the original zip files NOT in your eq folder.
