Just so I don't leave this thread with the wrong impression...
We don't like having bugs in our game. We want to fix them all, and we'd absolutely love it if we caught all of them before you saw them. It would be great if there were so many people working on the game that nobody ever had to cut anything out of their schedule, and we could take time to go find out who gives that quest to give a ring to that zombie in Erud's Crossing and fix that, too. It would be great if we had enough QA testers to test raids with full DZs. It would be super neat if we could come in to work without anything scheduled, and spend the day tinkering with whatever we felt like while chatting with our best friends, the players.
Unfortunately, that's not how things work here, or anywhere. Games that are released "when they're done" don't ever ship (3dRealms). No one who isn't named Derek Smart has ever released a game without thinking some part of it still needed work. We don't conspire to make people hate our game, or to keep a specific group of players "down" or "on top." We don't check with our super secret group of illuminati who set our priorities for us. We fix what we can and implement what we can and every now and then we leave the building, because that's important, too.
Don't let someone who's never worked on a game color your impressions of those of us who do it for a living. All of us on the team started out on your side of the screen, and none of us would be here if we didn't want to make this game the best it can be.
