I don't know if the data is updated on Test yet or not, but the Giants augments have been re-scaled. They're going to be weaker at the lowest end but ramp up in power much more quickly than before. AC in particular will be spread out more evenly than it was before. The top reward did not change.
So yes. In raw terms, the first few augment rewards were 'nerfed' but on the balance most were improved, particularly if you're seeking AC -- see the graph below.
